In the next days, La Spezia city is getting ready for the town’s feast of the year.
Saint Joseph is the father of Jesus, celebrated in the catholic tradition on March 19th, and that’s why this is also Father’s day. For La Spezia San Giuseppe is the Patrono, the Saint protector of the city.
The Fair of St. Joseph of La Spezia was established in 1654, at the request of the Community Council to the Genoese Senate, to meet the popular devotion and to give a new impetus to the city trades. The fair, which lasts three days, sees the participation of over 600 street traders from all over Italy, exhibiting in the area between Piazza Europa, the public gardens and waterfront. The whole city is involved, and events and happenings related to the event take place all over the city.
From today and in the next days, we will present 2016’s events planned to enjoy the party together with the local people.
Ship Corsair II also participates in vintage races.
