From the darkness of the sea some boats glimpse, armed with their towering masts, so you enter the ancient and warlike corsair vibe. On board the “Pirates” roleplaying with costumes, colored vests, palandrane, hats and bandanas, brandishing weapons and shooting fireworks from the mouths of their guns.
Bangs, smoke and fires and the well-known “Fifth Remo” which among screams and sinister noises, gets menacingly toward the coast of Cadimare and then assaults are staged with bonfires representing the so called “set on fire” as it is often described in the pirates stories.
All around, music, food and a little market. Many people waiting are also dreassed up as pirates for a huge party taking place in the village all along the night.
To get to Cadimare to watch the landing, you can take a shuttle bus, advised also if you have a car, from the Palasport and Viale Fieschi collectiong points, running from 5pm to 1am every 30 minutes. A boat is also leaving from La Spezia harbour at 7, 7.15, 8 and 8.15pm with return at 9.30, 11.00, 11.15pm, 00 e 00.30am.
